Recently I’ve been on a bit of a quest to find some Chinese things here where In the UK as I’m just curious about these things. I’ve finally found Qingdao beer in the local shop. 🙂 It’s different from the Qingdao in Changchun in size and flavour. The bottle is a very small 330ml almost half the size of the ones in Changchun. It cost £1.38 or 21元 which is a little expensive considering the size, but not so much here relatively speaking.
Strangely this is 4.7%, much stronger than the 3.8% Qingdao in Changchun and so it tastes quite different! Not as good in my opinion!

I never knew there were several Qingdao beer brands. I only know the one that can be found in Hong Kong and Japan.Also I’m surprised it is sold here in UK outside China Town, Leicester sq. I’ll search for it around in London ~~~

hey… yes it’s much different, and comparingly the price is about ten times here in changchun… it said the best QingTao beer you have to taste it just on the day they make it. fresh… but I never tasted it…
I have to say this BLOG is amazing…and when I found it , you were already not here in Changchun anymore. We met once in Doug’s party but I thought you have forget about me.
