Yes spot on. I’m sure I’d be working as hard as possible at making the connections, guanxi, relationships, to get a job outside of the country.

When I went to Amsterdam last year it became painfully obvious that Europeans know more about US history than I do. I think it’s a human tendency to study where you want to go more than where you are.

absolutely agree with your opinion “experiences change opinions, broaden minds ” living in a place you are not quite familiar with can be cool,let alone in a foreign country because you’ll suddenly find there are so many diffrent ways of thinking from those in your world.
and you can learn a lot by adapting to a new environment. and all those change you into a more tolerant and better person
